Yamaha’s latest Yard Built creations
Following the hugely successful Bike Shed show in Paris a month ago, Yamaha was back last weekend on 23 and 24th May for the Bike Shed show at the Tobacco Dock in London to reveal two new stunning Yard Built creations for the thousands of custom bike loving fans.
Joining the impressive line up of Yard Built machines is the retro modern Matt Black Custom Designs XV950 ‘Playa del Rey’ and the stunning café racer concept XJR1300 ‘Dissident’ by Portuguese builders it roCkS!bikes.
Both bikes continue Yamaha’s theme of challenging the world’s best custom builders to create beautiful, unique machines through creative use of ‘bolt-on’ parts, reinforcing the Yard Built concept without any cutting or welding to the standard bike.
Matt Black Custom Designs used an impressive list of custom machined billet bolt on parts for their board tracker design Portuguese custom builders it roCkS!bikes Yard Built XJR 1300 ‘CS-06 Dissident’ is a work of art, with a single handcrafted metal flowing unit stretching from just behind the triple clamps all the way back to the end of the tail.
